Playing with Polymer clay...

I've maintained I only wanted to work with 'organic' terracotta clay... but something grabbed a hold of me, and I decided to play with Polymer clay today. I'm really happy! Made a zillion beads, and 14 mounted faces. This afternoon, I'm planning to assemble beads and faces... to see what happens!

  1. Your faces are wonderful - I know you will create beautiful spirit dolls with them. Can't wait to see!

  2. Oh my goodness! I love your faces and beads. I've been making spirit dolls for about 8 or 9 years now. We use some of the same molds and there are other similarities. Yours are extraordinary, though!!! I love your blog and all the art you are doing. I had a blog for almost a decade but have let it pretty much die over the past year. I plan to start a new one but if you are curious, I have a flickr account with some of my dolls on it under Groggy Froggy. Our dolls are different yet there is a similarity. I love every thing about spirit dolls. So excited to find your blog through Pinterest!

  3. Thank you so much Lisa. I don't have a flicker account, but I'd love to see your dolls. Let me know when you pick up your blog again.... it would be fun to connect! Funny, there's only one store bought mold I use... most of mine come from some of the statues we have around our house. I love making my own, unique molds.

Thanks so much for your compliments... kindred spirits are we!
    hugs, Chris
